What you will learn

Work side by side with DevOps engineers to wire up CI/CD pipelines, harden environments, and document the golden paths teams rely on.

You’ll rotate through delivery tasks: adding checks to pipelines, scripting small automations, and learning how to keep staging and preview environments healthy.

Responsibilities

Pair on CI/CD pipelines that run lint, unit, and integration tests before deploys
Automate environment bootstrap scripts (config, secrets, and service dependencies)
Create or improve runbooks and checklists for releases and rollbacks
Track pipeline and deploy metrics to spot regressions with mentors
Shadow incidents to learn postmortem hygiene and document follow-ups

Requirements

What makes you a fit

We’re looking for curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn by doing.

Comfort with Git and basic scripting (Bash or Python) for small automations
Understands how CI/CD stages chain together and why tests gate releases
Some exposure to containers or a public cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) basics
Clear written communication and willingness to ask for reviews early
Based in New York City or remote.

Nice to have

Hands-on tinkering with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
Docker basics (building images, reading Dockerfiles, running locally)
Familiarity with YAML configs and secret management patterns
Intro knowledge of observability tools (logs, dashboards, alerts)
Curiosity about infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi)
